Soft Maple is not one specific type of tree, but an umbrella term for a number of maple species. Soft Maples often are paler in color and can often contain spalt, curl or ambrosia.

This product has an S&B (seconds and better) grade, which indicates that it meets the requirements for FAS except for one or two qualities (often length or width)
